專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ Sociology involves thinking critically about the world around you to develop an understanding of how people engage and interact in groups, institutions and societies. The degree covers everything from death and religious belief to social media use and digital surveillance. It provides graduates with a wide range of transferable skills, valuable for many industries.Abertay’s BA (Hons) Sociology degree is delivered within the School of Business, Law and Social Sciences. It is designed to provide an understanding of how individuals shape and are shaped by the social contexts they inhabit. It equips graduates with the aptitudes and capabilities that public and private sector employers demand, including how to: analyse complex issues; engage in critical thinking; communicate to a variety of audiences; develop innovative solutions to real world challenge. The course has a work placement. A module, Community Links, is an opportunity to take up a work placement in a public or voluntary sector organisation throughout the final year. Abertay is ranked: ?
