在這里學(xué)什么？
The USC Upstate psychology program is designed to prepare students for the workplace and for graduate school. Our faculty is dedicated to providing high impact learning experiences. Small classes allow us to give individualized attention to our students and to know their strengths and weaknesses. Experiential learning opportunities allow students the chance to apply what they’ve learned.
Curriculum
The curriculum is designed to expose students to the diverse field of psychology, from neuroscience and cognition to psychological disorders and counseling. Students choose from five different core areas of psychology to gain breadth of understanding of the field, and then select other courses specifically tailored to their interest within the discipline. Students are encouraged to engage in one of our experiential learning opportunities: Internships, service learning, or working with faculty on research projects.

Career Opportunities
If you are interested in working with humans or animals, helping those in need, assisting others to work toward a better future, or working in a business or service industry then psychology may be the right educational path for you. After graduation, many of our students choose to pursue a Master’s degree in social work. Others are accepted into MA or PhD programs in clinical psychology, experimental psychology programs, school psychology programs or have gone on to earn degrees in speech pathology, medicine, dentistry, or law.
Students who choose to work right after graduation find jobs with social service agencies, group homes, mental health institutions, substance abuse clinics, correctional institutions, as therapists working with autistic children, in human resource departments, or management positions in service industries.
