The Fairfield University Educational Technology program welcomes potential candidates from all teaching disciplines as well as those contemplating a career change or an enhancement to their existing professional skills. Both the Master of Arts (MA) and Sixth Year Certificate (SYC) in Educational Technology are designed to create leaders in the field who can model, use, and provide learning experiences to others regarding best technology-infused educational practices. Program candidates often work as teachers, co-teachers, and consultants in schools, agencies, and organizational professional development.
K-12 classroom teachers often add the MA or SYC in Educational Technology to their existing graduate degrees.
The MA in Educational Technology with preparation for K-12 cross endorsement as a School Library Media Specialist is also offered as an option for certified teachers.
Outcomes
Graduates of the program will be able to:
- Position themselves as district and school leaders in designing and supporting 21st century learning environments.
- Participate in and foster a shared vision for the effective integration of technology in their educational environment.
- Work with educators to design, develop, implement, and evaluate technology-embedded learning and assessment experiences for students that optimizes learning as well as incorporates the teaching of 21st century skills.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Applicants for the Master of Arts degree must hold an earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and must give promise of meeting the standards set by the School. A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.67 is strongly recommended. TOEFL - a composite score of 550 for the paper test, 213 for the computer-based test, or 80 for the Internet based test is recommended. For GSEAP, a composite score of 550 for the paper test, 213 for the computer-based test or 84 on the Internet based test with a minimum score of 21 in reading and 23 in writing is required for admission. IELTS: For all schools - except for GSEAP - a 6.5 score is required. For GSEAP, a 7.5 score is required.
