Northern’s Master of Music Education Program can help you enhance your career, develop your professional skills and fulfill your passion for music.
If you're a choral, instrumental or general music teacher, Northern's master of music education program’s online format is designed to fit into your busy life. It offers a flexible way to complete your advanced degree in two years while you retain your current job. You'll be stimulated, challenged and ready to move forward in the classroom and your career.
The program is practice-oriented and covers the essentials of research in music education, music theory, performance practices, conducting, pedagogy and music education management.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) The minimum grade point average for admission to a master's degree program is an overall 2.75 for bachelor's degree work. If you don't meet this minimum GPA, you may be admitted if you've earned a GPA of: 3.00 during your last 64 semester hours of undergraduate credits, or 3.25 in your undergraduate major, or 3.25 in your last 12 credits of graduate work from a program leading to a degree at an accredited institution. English Language Requirements: A minimum score of 550 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or A minimum score of 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL, or A minimum score of 6 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
