If you’re driven to learn more about the human mind, NSU’s B.S. degree in psychology will enhance your knowledge of human mental and behavioral processes so you can better understand their influence on mental health.
The psychology department offers a wide range of courses to ensure you’re well-prepared to apply your studies in the real world. Class topics include developmental, social, and adolescent psychology; research design, cognition and learning, and statistics in psychological research.
NSU psychology professors apply a diverse approach to the study of psychological sciences, ranging from the academic rigor of the scientific method to the development of theoretical perspectives and sound scientific philosophies.
With an NSU psychology degree, you’ll be ready for graduate school study in clinical, counseling or organizational psychology. Conveniently, you may continue your studies at NSU: we also offer a master’s degree in school or clinical mental health counseling.
CAREERS
Human behavior is everywhere – so NSU graduates are well prepared to serve in a variety of professions as social services liaisons, behavioral health assistants, personnel management/supervisors, law enforcement, education, health care, and as research assistants.
