Share your love of chemistry with future generations as an NSU chemistry education graduate. In NSU’s program, you’ll specialize in secondary (high school) teaching.
Here, you’ll learn to operate a wide range of modern instruments, including ultraviolet visible and infrared (UV and IR) spectrophotometers, gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrophotometer, among others.
You’ll benefit from NSU's small class sizes and personal attention from highly qualified professors. As a chemistry education major at NSU, you're encouraged to explore individual interests and work closely with professors on research projects. You may have the chance to present your research at national or regional meetings, or even publish your work in scientific journals.
CAREERS
Most chemistry education graduates work as secondary school teachers. Others work as instructors in non-educational settings; as corporate trainers, or in accounting or sales and marketing-related jobs.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Applicants to NSU must: Rank in the top 60 percent of their high school graduating class; or achieve an ACT composite score of 18 or above; SAT score of 950 or SAT Reasoning Test Math and Critical Reading sub scores total of 870 or above or Earn a GPA of at least 2.6 on a 4.0 scale in all high school courses and complete the following required courses with a cumulative grade of "C" or higher (GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale): Four years of English or ACT English sub-test score of 18 or above or AP English score of 3 or above; Three years of advanced mathematics: Or ACT math sub-test score of 20 or above or AP calculus score of 3 or above; Three years of laboratory science or ACT science reasoning sub-test score of 17 or above or AP science score of 3 or above. English Language Requirements: TOEFL IBT (61-70 or above); TOEFL PBT (525 or above); IELTS (5.5 or above); PTE Academic (41 or above).
