As an early childhood educator, director or parent advocate, you can make a difference in the lives of children. Fontbonne's early childhood major includes coursework and practical experience in areas such as child development, early childhood education and administration, parenting and family relationships.
Early Childhood Program Highlights

- Early, hands-on experience outside the classroom
- Optional Missouri teaching certification: early childhood (birth – third grade) or early childhood/special education (birth – third grade)
- Development of creative, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Development of effective communication skills, ability to work both individually and as part of a team
- Internship/practicum placements that encourage student’s individual professional interests
- This program is approved by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Fontbonne University meets rigorous national standards for educator preparation set by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 All undergraduate programs require a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale from high school (equivalent to a 78% on a **** scale). Other English Language Requirements: ELS: Completion of Level 112; Inlingua: Completion of ESL 300, 301, 302; Kaplan – Completion of Higher Intermediate level; Completion of English composition one at a US college or university; OR: COMPASS ESL Language Score 260+ (this option is only available for students in St. Louis who have applied to the university. The complimentary institutional test may only be taken one time for admission purposes).
