專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ Alongside core modules, you have the opportunity to work with other areas of study – race, gender, power, ecology and inclusion – and to apply these to early childhood. A variety of themes are drawn upon to explore early childhood in relation to ideas and political developments which have contributed to changing conceptions about family life and forms of caring for the young, both in the context of schools and in the wider culture. Study in the first academic year is foundational and aims to provide a general level of contextual understanding for subsequent study. You are introduced to a wide range of themes, concepts and issues in relation to early childhood in order to begin to familiarise yourself with the names and terms that impact current educational theory. The knowledge gained is built upon in subsequent years where you engage more widely with social, political and cultural perspectives – building on knowledge and critically deploying it in relation to real-world situations.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students with a GPA of 3.5 or above in certain schools may be considered for entry onto year 1 of a Bachelor's degree on a case by case basis. Those who have successfully completed one year study at a recognised university in China will also be considered.
