The undergraduate programs in Computer Science at St. Edward's provide you with a strong theoretical foundation of computational systems and teach you the technical skills needed for practical application in the workplace.
As a Computer Science major, you'll explore complex computational cases and create solutions using existing technologies and by designing new approaches. Faculty with years of both academic and industry experience will help you become prepared for the Computer Science field, which is growing 11% faster than average and reaches into many sectors, including health care, business, energy, and manufacturing. This degree track provides a course of study based on computer science theory and its application in various aspects of business and industry. It includes support courses to prepare students for graduate study in computer science.
Major Requirements: 48 hours of computer science coursework and 16 hours of supporting coursework from mathematics and science.
Electives: 8 hours of a lab science.
General Education Requirements: 57 hours of general education coursework plus major coursework.
