The master’s degree program in String Performance at the Bob Cole Conservatory prepares students for professional careers in the field. Individual attention is given to meet the needs and the aspirations of each student through diverse practical training opportunities and artistically inspiring one-to-one interactions with esteemed faculty. We offer opportunities for participation in traditional ensembles, such as a full-scale symphony orchestra and opera orchestra, as well as a large number of specialized ensembles including chamber music, early music, and new music ensembles. The community of the university-at-large offers both a motivating and nurturing learning environment. Through interaction with faculty, staff, and guest artists, students make invaluable career-oriented connections in the exciting music industry of Southern California and beyond.
