The Geological Sciences encompasses the study of Earth Systems: the solid earth, the hydrosphere, and the atmosphere.
The Geological Sciences Department participates in the Southern California Marine Institute for marine geology, oceanography, and seismic studies.
The bachelor of science degree in Earth Science is designed for those students considering a professional career in environmental, geotechnical, or engineering geology. The program also provides a fundamental education in geology that prepares students for graduate studies in the geological sciences. The required curriculum includes surficial geology courses (geomorphology, hydrology) not required as part of the B.S. in Geology.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Paper-based 500; Internet-based (iBT) 61, IELTS 5.5 each sub-section, Pearson Test of English 43.
