SVSU's Health Science program sets the bar for cultivating a community of learners who are passionate and determined to grow and adapt to a changing medical climate. Throughout their collegiate journey, health science students receive an integrated blend of classroom, laboratory, internship, study abroad and experiential learning tailored towards improving human health through scientific research. From American healthcare systems to the principles and policies of public health, the professors at SVSU equip students to understand health and human services on a local, national and international level. Health Science majors connect and advocate within these multidisciplinary systems and become role models within their chosen professions, whether they pursue direct patient care or non-clinical positions.
The Health Science major is a uniquely designed program that prepares students for medical school or to serve in careers across the health care industry, including public health, emergency management, gerontology, neuroscience and healthcare administration. SVSU offers courses and research initiatives that encourage students to explore everything from the unique struggles of diverse populations in urban and rural communities, to communication within an administrative environment. The program's core courses and Health Science electives provide a sound foundation in health and human services and allow room for individualized growth through additional electives and minors that pique the interests and passions of each student.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must currently be a junior or senior in high school (with or without college credits), or have graduated high school and have taken no college courses. We strongly recommend high school students take a rigorous college preparatory curriculum prior to enrolling at SVSU. The primary core includes: 4 years of English; 3 years of mathematics (through second year algebra); 3 years of natural sciences (at least two years of biology, chemistry, or physics); 3 years of social sciences; 2 years of the same foreign language. Minimum Language Requirements: Minimum GPA: 2.0; TOEFL- IBT: 61; IELTS: 5.5; PTE: 45.
