The Specialist in Education (EdS) in school psychology from Wichita State combines classroom learning and real-world experience to prepare you for a high-demand career working with educators and families to nurture positive outcomes for children in schools.
School psychologists collaborate with educators and families to help ensure the academic, social, behavioral and emotional progress of children and youth in schools.
As school practitioners, school psychologists share their consultation, assessment, intervention and research expertise with youth, families and educators to promote healthy cognitive, social and emotional development.
The program has options for both bachelor’s and master’s degree holders. It offers flexibility through evening, online and hybrid (in person/online) courses.
Curriculum
Specialist in Education (EdS) in School Psychology - Postbaccalaureate: You can enter the 60-credit-hour program after earning your undergraduate degree—and can complete the degree in as little as two years of fulltime study.
Specialist in Education (EdS) in School Psychology - Postmaster's: The 39-credit-hour program is open to student holding a master's degree in a related field.
For full (professional) Kansas School Specialist Licensure in Psychology, students must apply for a professional school license, register for a four-credit-hour post-EdS internship, and complete the full-time, one-year internship in a public school.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Applicants for full-standing degree admission to the specialist and master’s programs typically must have: Earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or a recognized institution in another country whose requirements for the bachelor’s degree are substantially equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree. The minimum acceptable scores for most programs are: TOEFL - 79 on the Internet-based test, or 550 on the paper-based test. IELTS - minimum overall band score of 6.5 is required. PTE Academic - 58.
