Wichita State’s Master of Music Education (MME) program will help you take your musical talent to a higher level while gaining the knowledge and skills needed for a rewarding career as a music educator. You’ll learn from faculty with extensive classroom experience and take advantage of applied learning opportunities in Kansas’ largest school district.
Curriculum
The program offers other several options: instrumental conducting, instrumental music (with recital option), music in special education, and voice. MME programs range from 32-36 credit hours.
Applied Learning
Students in the Master of Music Education - elementary music program are required to complete an applied learning or research experience to graduate from the program. The requirement can be met by completing either, a conducting recital (MUSE 844), terminal project (MUSE 854), thesis (MUSE 876) or performance recital (MUSP 873).

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Applicants for full-standing degree admission to the specialist and master’s programs typically must have: Earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or a recognized institution in another country whose requirements for the bachelor’s degree are substantially equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree. The minimum acceptable scores for most programs are: TOEFL - 79 on the Internet-based test, or 550 on the paper-based test. IELTS - minimum overall band score of 6.5 is required. PTE Academic - 58.
