Wichita State’s graduate certificate in lean systems provides advanced knowledge and methodology of lean systems design, evaluation and operation for practitioners in industry who are responsible for the development and management of production systems in the workplace. Curriculum focuses on the essential knowledge, analytical techniques, guidelines and contemporary issues in the design, evaluation and management of lean systems in industry.
Curriculum
To complete the certificate, you’ll choose 12 credit hours from the following courses:
- Production Systems
- Statistical Methods for Engineers
- Design of Experiments
- Lean Manufacturing
- Supply Chain Management
- Independent Study in Industrial Engineering
Students must complete the prerequisite, Operations Research I, before starting the certificate courses.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants for full-standing degree admission to the specialist and master’s programs typically must have: Earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or a recognized institution in another country whose requirements for the bachelor’s degree are substantially equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree. The minimum acceptable scores for most programs are: TOEFL - 79 on the Internet-based test, or 550 on the paper-based test. IELTS - minimum overall band score of 6.5 is required. PTE Academic - 58.
