A Bachelor of Arts (BA) in history from Wichita State offers several specialized areas of study. As a history student, you’ll improve your ability to think, write, speak reason and solve problems skills vital to success in graduate school and in virtually every career. And you’ll be able to combine your degree with other disciplines, such as teaching, political science, journalism and others.
Curriculum
The major requires at least 33 hours of history courses. You can also choose from four concentrations:
- Ancient and Medieval
- Modern European
- American
- Local-and-community history
Careers
A degree in history from Wichita State is great preparation for advanced study in law, political science, history, communications, library science and many other degrees. Graduates have a strong foundation of knowledge for careers in politics, education, the military, Foreign Service, business and more.
