在這里學(xué)什么？ This is the 4 year course which includes a Professional Placement Year.- A flexible programme with a range of modules and opportunities for placements.- Engaging and experienced tutors with a wide range of knowledge and expertise.- Opportunity to gain the accredited vocational Early Years Educator award.On this course, you’ll develop a critical understanding of childhood, babies, children and families from multi-disciplinary perspectives. You’ll examine issues in local and international contexts and explore concepts such as play, development, ethics, social justice and leadership.We ensure that you have maximum flexibility on your course while still retaining a clear focus on the study of early childhood. Your modules are designed to provide you with essential knowledge and understanding for your future career such as ensuring you are well-versed in children’s rights and protection as well as developing insights into effective teamwork.You might also apply for our Certificate in Global Citizenship or opt for a module that includes a study visit or international placement.**More about the Professional Placement Year**A Professional Placement Year (PPY), traditionally known as a sandwich year, is where a student undertakes a period of work with an external organisation for between 9-13 months. The placement occurs between the students' second and third years of undergraduate study. Students can engage in up to 3 placements to make up the total time and are required to source the placement(s) themselves with support from the Careers & Employability Team.
