在這里學(xué)什么？ This is the 4 year course which includes a Professional Placement Year.Our specialist BSc (Hons) Biology in Conservation Biology pathway enables you to develop your skills in a contemporary and practical degree. Biology has a strong practical element and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to study plants and animals in the wild as well as in our laboratories. In addition to these core topics, you’ll take specialised modules in conservation biology, gaining a range of appropriate knowledge and skills.You’ll graduate with skills tailored for the practical job market, well placed for a career in environmental / ecology consultancy, research or further study in conservation.- Cover a broad range of fundamental biology topics, from cell biology and genetics to plant, animal and human biology.- Study the latest practical techniques for studying conservation with a particular emphasis on the real world and its constraints. - Opportunity to specialise in ecological topics. - A practical course which uses contemporary learning methods. - High employability of graduates. **More about the Professional Placement Year** A Professional Placement Year (PPY), traditionally known as a sandwich year, is where a student undertakes a period of work with an external organisation for between 9-13 months. The placement occurs between the students' second and third years of undergraduate study. Students can engage in up to 3 placements to make up the total time and are required to source the placement(s) themselves with support from the Careers & Employability Team.
