Economists are involved with conducting research, collecting and analyzing data, monitoring economic trends as well as developing forecasts. They also research a wide variety of issues including energy costs, inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, business cycles, taxes and employment levels, among others.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects growth for many career paths related to economics. With such a wide variety of career options, we suggest checking out their website to find out the job outlook in specific areas.
Our Program
The economics major at The University of Findlay prepares learners for the challenges of the business world in the 21st century. The flexible program allows students to complement this degree with other areas of business such as:
- finance
- marketing
- accounting
- business management
- international business
The major is geared toward assisting learners in developing a critical and analytical thought process in order to successfully operate in a world that is increasingly global. Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary in courses where group and individual projects are assigned. Students are prepared for entry-level positions in business and government.

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must have high school grades (minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average) and class rank. English Language Requirements: TOEFL (iBT) score of at least 61, an IELTS score of at least 6.0, a Pearson Test of English (academic) of at least 50, or an International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP) of at least 3.5.
