Prepare to teach in an elementary school, developing the skills and knowledge to become a highly effective teacher who inspires young learners and shapes the community around them. The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree is specifically designed for students who hold a bachelor’s degree in a non-education field and are seeking a career change into teaching.
This program consists of a core of courses that all degree candidates will complete, plus various specialization courses to meet state certification requirements in a particular discipline. An immersion option that allows a cohort of full-time students to complete the program in one academic year beginning and ending with a summer session. Students who are employed full time may begin the program on a part-time basis beginning in the summer or spring.

為來自中國的學生設(shè)計 Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or proof of equivalent preparation from a foreign college or university. Applicants should have a 2.75 cumulative average or a 3.0 in the major at the undergraduate level, although some programs may have a higher requirement. English Language requirement: A minimum score of 80 is recommended for the Internet Based TOEFL exam and a score of 7 or higher is recommended for the IELTS.
