Solent is the first university in the UK to offer a beauty promotion degree, an innovative course which focuses on developing you for a career within the global beauty industry. You’ll learn a diverse range of skills, including multi-platform journalism, styling, marketing, PR, advertising and trend forecasting, with an opportunity to specialise as you progress.You will be taught by academics with extensive industry experience in writing and styling beauty, celebrity and fashion editorial features for magazines including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Good Housekeeping.And will have access to professional photography facilities, as well as a make-up area. Mac suites with the latest design and publishing software and a reprographics room are also available to help you develop your digital skills.During your studies you will also have the opportunity to get involved in retail activities at Re:So, Solent’s stunning student-run store which sells a unique mix of fashion, accessories, publications, furniture and art produced by the University’s creative students and graduates.Think a career as a beauty editor, PR, marketing executive, brand manager or trend forecaster might be for you?
