The mission of Hawaii Pacific University’s Bachelor in Public Administration program is to provide students, especially non-traditional students, with career options and occupation opportunities in the U.S. Federal Government, State, City, and local governments, as well as nonprofit organizations. Focusing on the formal and practical study of executive management and institutional structure while recognizing the need for flexibility without sacrificing academic integrity, students will receive preparation to serve as supervisors, managers and leaders in the public service domain. Innovative course design and related program partnerships will provide both traditional and distance learning course delivery alternatives empowering our students to live, work and learn in an ever-changing global society.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
- Learn how public administration and leadership differ from management in the private sector.
- Prepare for careers in government, charitable organizations, or any other nonprofit organization.
- Share their course-related experiences with other degree program majors at HPU.
- Have the opportunity to take graduate courses in the B-PADM to MPA Concurrent Program.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students are preferred to have a 3.0 GPA or above in high school college preparatory courses. High school courses: In preparation for undertaking academic studies at the University, it is recommended that applicants have completed at a minimum the following courses: 4 years English; 4 years History or Social Science; 3 years Mathematics; 2 years Science. Students who have taken the Advanced Placement Examinations of the College Board (AP) or the International Baccalaureate Program (IB) should have the official results forwarded to the Office of Admission. English Language Requirements: TOEFL (IBT) score 70; TOEFL (ITP): score 500; IELTS score 6.0; Cambridge: Score 169; ELS Centers - 110; Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) – 48; and CEFR: Score B2.
