Earn your bachelor's degree in elementary education and begin a successful career as an elementary school teacher, childcare provider or mentor for children in kindergarten through the sixth grade. In this program, you'll learn how to meet educational needs for children, explore practical applications, and learn how to design your own attention-grabbing lessons. This elementary education degree program will help you develop your teaching style for your future as an elementary school teacher.
In this elementary education degree program, you'll combine learning theory with practical applications, and also learn iPad applications for instructional strategies. As a student, you'll learn how to recognize and appreciate learning diversity to meet educational needs in a multicultural society. This state-approved program is designed to meet the requirements for certification in Florida.
You may also choose to complete five specialization courses in place of your free electives to learn how to teach children ages three through the third grade.
Elementary education information
As a student in the elementary education program, you'll learn how to create lesson plans, and apply understandings of learning standards, culturally responsive, and integrative curriculums to various learning environments. You'll learn how to teach students ages kindergarten through the sixth grade from faculty who are experts in the field. here's a closer look at what you'll study in the elementary education program:
