Anthropology requires that its practitioners experience what it means to be human in different cultures, as well as to develop a new awareness and understanding of their own. It promotes a critical perspective about us, our societies, and our relationship with other societies within the broader global framework. Through exploration of how other peoples and cultures from the past and present handle common human problems such as providing subsistence, creating families, maintaining social order, etc., the study of anthropology enhances our appreciation of the diversity of possible solutions to our own problems as well as more global concerns.

English Language Requirements: Minimum TOEFL score of 71 or higher on the internet-based; TOEFL score 530 or higher paper-based exam; IELTS - 6.0 or higher; Pearson Test of English, Academic: 48 or higher; WAEC's Senior Secondary Certificate of Examinations (SSCE): A or B; Ordinary Level Certificate: A or B; Cambridge International O Levels: C or higher; (Test in Practical English Proficiency) "EIKEN": Pre-1 or higher.
