Have a passion for sports? Unite your love for the game with a pioneering, business-focused sports management program – the first to be licensed and accredited by the state of Connecticut and among the first in North America to be accredited by the Sports Management Program Review Council (SMPRC).
As a University of New Haven sport management major, you will combine your study off the field with hands-on experience and business training in all facets of modern sports.
The program will help you accomplish several goals, including:
- Gaining the business training you need to contribute your knowledge, creativity and strategic leadership to the industry
- Learning in an AACSB-accredited and SMPRC-endorsed program that increases your chances of earning a higher, more competitive salary after graduation
- Preparing detailed marketing plans, sponsorship proposals, and event plans
- Conducting market research for a sports organization
- Benefiting from mentoring, internship, and job shadowing programs that connect students with sports industry professionals
- Taking advantage of guest speakers, facility tours, and volunteer opportunities that bring the real world to the learning experience
