在這里學(xué)什么？
A sports medicine degree prepares students for careers in applied or clinical health professions or for graduate work in disciplines related to the exercise science. Both degree options require extensive laboratory experiences. Students are encouraged to participate in research in the discipline and or internship/volunteer venues relating to their particular emphasis and future professional aspirations.
This degree route requires the core curriculum in sports medicine as well as additional courses in applied health and exercise science. Upon graduation, students with a B.A. in Sports Medicine are prepared for careers in the health/fitness industry as well as for graduate programs in exercise and sport sciences.
Sports Medicine Program Learning Outcomes
A student who graduates with a major in sports medicine should be able to:
Demonstrate a breadth of knowledge across the spectrum of the exercise sciences and a deeper understanding in the areas of physiology, motor behavior and biomechanics. Apply the scientific method in order to understand, evaluate, and/or solve problems in the exercise sciences. Use the central components of a liberal education, including critical thinking, information literacy, oral and written communication, and quantitative reasoning skills in analyzing problems in the exercise sciences.
