Computer information systems are important to all facets of the business world. The computer information systems field includes people who design and build systems, people who use those systems, and people responsible for managing those systems. The demand for traditional staff such as programmers, business analysts, systems analysts, and designers is significant.
CIS technologies deal with five main components: hardware, software, data, procedures, and people. At DSU, you will become familiar with technologies that gather, store, and process data into information, and the applications and networks that distribute this information. You'll learn programming languages, systems development software, project management software, and database development and management tools.
