Every year, more and more school-age students are finding success taking online classes. Today’s educators need to know how to structure lessons for an online environment to maximize learning and engagement.
Our certificate program will provide you with a fundamental understanding of online learning methods, strategies, management, designs and resources to better prepare you to teach in an online environment. This hands-on program offers opportunities for interactions and close consultation with recognized experts in the area. Your class projects are designed to create material that you could use in your own online classroom.
You don't have to be a teacher to take this certificate. If you are, each course in this certificate can count for 90 re-certification points for in-service K-12 teachers. Faculty from the Instructional Design and Technology department and the Teaching and Learning department teach these courses.
