在這里學(xué)什么？
This degree program prepares you to provide comprehensive primary care for children from birth through young adulthood. You'll gain essential knowledge and develop critical skills to aid in providing comprehensive care, including health promotion, health maintenance and restorative care to well, at-risk, and chronically ill pediatric patients and their families. Telehealth and interprofessional collaboration are integrated throughout the program. You will be required travel to ODU's School of Nursing in Virginia Beach for scheduled training and/or testing at critical points in the program.
You'll be taught by ODU faculty who are involved in practice as well as teaching, so they can prepare you for current issues in healthcare. Plus, our curriculum is designed to lead you on a continuous path from BS/BSN to MSN to DNP. You can earn this Pediatric Nurse Practitioner MSN and continue your studies in ODU's Advanced Practice Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree program. Traineeship grants may be available to assist with tuition, dependent on grant funding.
Careers in Pediatric Nursing
As a CPNP-PC, you may practice in a variety of health care settings that may include pediatric primary care in private practice, school-based clinics, public health departments, hospitals, and sub-specialty clinics.
