Career Opportunities
Graduates with an accounting degree will competitively qualify for positions in public accounting, private accounting, and government and not-for-profit organizations. While the College offers a B.S. degree in accounting, a student who wishes to be licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York State must now meet a more extensive education requirement. This generally requires completion of a 150-credit hour program of study. Students who complete both their B.S. degree in Accounting and either their M.S. degree in Accounting or M.S. degree in Taxation at Old Westbury will satisfy this requirement. The national CPA exam provides an objective evaluation of the preparation level of students for public accounting.

為來自中國的學生設計 Admission to the College is based on students’ successful completion of secondary school and on their academic achievement. All evaluations conducted by WES or ECE are designed to equate the level of education in other countries to the level of education within the U.S. International freshman applicants must have an equivalent secondary school average of an 80 (US average) or above. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum score of 513 on the paper version or 183 on the computer, or 61 on the Internet version is required. A minimum composite score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). iTEP score: Score of 3.5, Step EIKEN test: Grade Pre-1.
