Like so many fields in today’s technology-driven world, physics relies more and more on computers. As research scientists, physicists use computers for data collection and manipulation. But there’s a growing area that combines physics with computer science called computational physics. This stimulating field includes work that focuses on areas of endeavor such as electronic structure calculation, statistical physics, atomic theory, and computer simulation of physical phenomena.
Lawrence Tech will help you develop the sound foundation in physics and computer science you’ll need to succeed in these exciting and competitive fields, with career and academic opportunities across multiple disciplines:
