The Master of Education in Early Childhood Education program at Worcester State University helps you become a highly trained professional who is committed to meeting the educational and developmental needs of young children in school and child care settings.
Our well-established program is designed for working adults. It offers two degree options: the professional license track, for teachers who possess their initial license in early childhood education, and the professional development (non-licensure) track, for professionals who wish to advance their career in early childhood education and care.
You’ll learn from accomplished professors—many of whom are active practitioners in the field—as you experience our program’s balance of content and pedagogy. You’ll expand your perspective and gain valuable insight through collaborations with faculty and fellow students. You also will conduct a research project on a topic in early childhood education of interest to you. As you progress through our program, you’ll record your achievements in an electronic portfolio of work that not only demonstrates your mastery of all program competencies, but also showcases your professional development.
Graduates of our program have gone on to rewarding careers as teachers (preschool - grade 2), child care providers, and early intervention specialists in settings across the state, including preschools, elementary schools, nursery schools, and day cares.
