The Master of Music Education builds upon the field experience of current teachers and educational professionals, transforming teachers who love music into music education specialists. This music education degree melds rigorous academic standards with practical classroom skills that translate into innovative K-12 programs in both private and public school settings. Equipping educators with the adaptability and commitment needed for the classroom, program requirements include core academic and music courses, and specialization in either choral or instrumental conducting.

- Research methods, musicology, style analysis, pedagogy, and the philosophical, psychological, social, and historical foundations of music education

- In-depth courses on orchestration, instrumental conducting, and instrumental pedagogy for those with an instrumental emphasis

為來自中國的學生設(shè)計 The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. A minimum cumulative 3.0 (on a 4-point scale) GPA is required on the posted baccalaureate degree for regular admission status. Candidates with a GPA of 2.5-2.99 may be considered for conditional admission status. International students should have obtained a TOEFL iBT sore 90 including scores of 22 in speaking, 22 in listening, 22 in reading, and 24 in writing and IELTS score 7.0.
