APU’s Bachelor of Arts in English equips students to make effective use of the written word. The skills that English majors learn—how to think, read, write, listen, and speak effectively—enable graduates to live successfully and contribute to society in all personal and professional endeavors. The English major provides a solid foundation in writing technique and linguistics, as well as world, British, and American literature, creative writing, significant authors, and the history of literary movements. English majors leave APU prepared to think critically and write compellingly.

International students should have obtained a TOEFL iBT sore 80 including scores of 22 in speaking, 22 in listening, 22 in reading, and 22 in writing and IELTS score 6.0.
