A focus of the graduate program in sustainability is on conducting research that is interdisciplinary and solutions oriented. The research expertise of the faculty in the Sustainability and Environment Department and other faculty affiliated with the graduate program in sustainability span the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities.
Master of Science, Sustainability Plan A (thesis): Total 30 credit hours
- SUST 705 - SUSTAINABILITY & COMPLEXITY 3 cr hrs
- SUST 715 - RESEARCH FOR SUSTAINABILITY 3 cr hrs
- SUST 790 - SEMINAR (C) 1 cr hrs (2-3 hours required)
- SUST 794 - INTERNSHIP (C) 1-6 cr hrs (0-3 hours required)
- SUST 798 - SUSTAINABILITY THESIS 1-6 cr hrs (6-9 hours required)
- Electives 9-18 cr

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must have successful completion of a baccalaureate degree or an equivalent degree from an institution with full regional accreditation for that degree. A minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.7 on conferred degree and/or graduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better, based on a 4.0 scale, on all graduate coursework. English Language Requirements: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum score of 79 on the Internet-Based TOEFL (iBT) or 550 on the Paper-Based TOEFL (PBT); International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) - a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, and Pearson Test of English (PTE) - a minimum PTE score of 53.
