The Department of Mathematical Sciences provides courses in both pure and applied mathematics, as well as in statistics. You can choose from traditional courses in pure mathematics and extensive studies in statistics - a rapidly growing field of applied mathematics.

English language requirements: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - 71 or higher (iBT); 530 or higher (paper test); IELTS (International English Language Testing System) - 5.5 or higher; ACT or SAT - ACT English 18+ OR SAT Evidence-based Reading and Writing 500+; USD Intensive English Program (IEP) Successful completion of USD’s Intensive English Program Level 3; ELS Language Center Successful completion of the ELS English for Academic Purposes level 112; Cambridge International Examinations - English subject A-Level with C or higher; International Baccalaureate (IB) - IB English A (4 or higher) or IB English B (6 or higher).
