The Job Outlook is 16% growth for Dietitians and Nutritionists between 2014 and 2024, much faster than the national average according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Gain experience solving problems related to sustainable food systems and motivating clients to change food behaviors. Conduct research to solve a current nutrition-related problem in your area of interest. Stay competitive in your field. By 2024, all new dietitians will be required to have a Master’s degree.
The Nutrition and Wellness degree is designed for students who have a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics, nutrition, a life science or a physical science. You will study the latest food trends in Food Behaviors and Motivations; analyze controversial food issues in Sustainable Food Systems; and investigate the role of nutrition in disease prevention and health promotion in Obesity and Chronic Disease.
Dietitians and nutritionists are professionals who promote health and manage disease by helping clients set specific goals. As a graduate student studying nutrition, you will work one-on-one with a professor to design a unique research project to answer a research question of interest to you.
