This programme provides you with the opportunity to investigate an area of clinical and professional interest, whilst contributing to service development and improvement with the ultimate aim of enhancing patient care.
The programme is structured as two modules, the first (Project Development) preparing you in the development of a project proposal and the second (Clinical Specialism Project) carrying out the chosen project in your area of clinical specialism. You will be supported by experienced clinical and academic supervisors in developing transferable skills within the clinical environment for lifelong learning in a clinical.

- You will work with experienced academic and clinical supervisors providing high quality academic support and regular formative feedback via a dedicated online platform.
- Explore the changing nature of modern healthcare and the requirement for continued evaluation and improvement of current clinical practice in your chosen specialism.
- Undertake a Clinical Specialism Project in your workplace with extensive support of an academic supervisor and clinical supervisor.
- Build on the evidence based practice knowledge and skills developed earlier in your studies.
- Develop critical evaluation and synthesis skills in relation to your particular clinical specialism.
- Access an extensive range of tailored online resources through our web-based ‘Moodle’ Digital Learning Environment (DLE).
- Complete the programme with a named pathway that reflects your area of clinical specialism.
The programme will be delivered using a mix of work based and resource based learning with online student/staff discussion forum and individual project work with both academic and clinical supervisory support.
Throughout the programme, learning will be supported by online systems, which will be accessible anywhere with internet access. The Medical School has dedicated information technology and e-learning teams to source and produce online resources, including access to the latest journals. The web-based ‘Moodle’ Digital Learning Environment (DLE) plays a vital role in supporting students' teaching and learning and is the central hub for all online resources for the programme.

They need Chinese degree classification - prestigious institution: 70% for 2:2 UK degree equivalent; 75% for 2:1 UK degree equivalent; 80% for 1st UK degree equivalent. In Chinese degree classification - non-prestigious institution they need 75% for 2:2 UK degree equivalent; 80% for 2:1 UK degree equivalent; 85% for 1st UK degree equivalent. In Chinese degree classification - college institution they need 80% for 2:2 UK degree equivalent; 85% for 2:1 UK degree equivalent; and 90% for 1st UK degree equivalent. Postgraduate programmes: ILETS 6.5 overall with Minimum component scores 5.5 in all four components (listening, reading, speaking and writing).
