The Lamar University Master of Education Degree in Digital Learning and Leading is a core leadership program designed for students of various educational environments. This program will make you an expert in educational improvement through advanced pedagogy and principles of educational change management. The Master of Education Degree in Digital Learning and Leading at Lamar University meets the needs of today’s technology-infused teaching environment by giving you the confidence and skills to create interactive, learner-centered environments using instructional technology to engage and motivate students.
Develop your digital knowledge and your leadership abilities with the tools, skills and knowledge to empower those in your educational community to step outside their comfort zone and into the digital future. We offer a flexible, convenient program of **** online coursework. No teaching certification is required to enter the program, and you'll have an opportunity to earn your Certified Digital Educator credential after the first 6 hours of your program.
In this program, you will:
- Identify technology innovations and embrace them as opportunities rather than challenges and proactively use those changes as catalysts to enhance your organization
- Take ownership and agency over the learning process and incorporate choice and voice in designing authentic projects that use technology innovation as a catalyst for change in your organization
- Create an ePortfolio to share work, reflect on your growth, and develop your voice
- Apply leadership theories and practices to become a self-differentiated leader who can address the inevitable resistance to change that will occur when launching innovative digital learning initiatives
- Identify and incorporate constructivist theories to create and implement significant digital learning environments
