The 60-credit master of fine arts in Media Scoring is for the composer who seeks advanced knowledge and practical experience in the composition and production of music scores for media, including cinema, television, video games, animation, and other commercial applications. The three-year program trains historically and theoretically informed, technically skilled composers who are working in collaborative contexts with visual media, and who are pursuing careers in the arts and commercial media industry. The program focuses on developing knowledge and skills directly related to the process of scoring as it exists today, providing matriculated students with an understanding of the art and business of visual media and with experience in the technologies commercially used for this field. The curriculum includes two semesters of weekly private composition lessons and two semesters of private capstone project lessons with a member of our faculty.

International candidates who hold the equivalence of a U.S. bachelor's degree are also encouraged to apply. English language requirements: TOEFL paper - 500, computer - 173, Internet - 61.
