在這里學(xué)什么?
Get the sophisticated knowledge, skills, and tools related to international development and practical global trade.
Trade can affect employment, investment, economic growth, and educational opportunities in either positive or negative ways. A degree program that combines trade and development equips students to analyze policies and design initiatives that can mitigate some of the unfavorable effects of trade policies while amplifying positive outcomes.
If you’re interested in a professional career at the intersection of development and trade, you can earn both a Master of International Policy and Development (MAIPD) and a Master of Arts in International Trade and Economic Diplomacy (MAITED) in five semesters.
Career-Oriented Options
Although you must select a specific degree when you apply, the International Policy and Development (MAIPD) and Public Administration (MPA) programs share a common faculty and core curriculum. This gives you the flexibility to explore both areas of study and then choose either the Joint MAIPD/MAITED or Joint MPA/MAITED by your third semester.
If your career interests are more aligned with policy analysis, you may be interested in the Joint MAIPD/MAITED. If your interests are more focused on program management, the Joint MPA/MAITED would be an appropriate path.
Integrated Curriculum
The integrated curriculum helps you develop foundational and advanced skills in trade policy, development, and negotiation, regional expertise, and specialized trade compliance and quantitative analysis. Students gain valuable work experience by completing a professional practicum that can last from four to six months.
Improving language and intercultural competence is central to all degree programs at the Institute, and students take courses taught in their chosen language of study and courses in intercultural studies.
