Our Master of Science in Communication Disorders and Sciences offers the type of hands-on, career-focused training that sets SUNY Cortland graduate students apart from everyone else. We set a high bar for excellence that graduates are expected to reach.

Student research and awards: Our graduate students earn invitations to present at regional and national conferences. In addition, their scholarly work has been rewarded with graduate student scholarships.
Meaningful class experiences: Our students learn how to use equipment like the electro larynx, voice and speech software, flexible endoscope, surface electromyography and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. They lead Aphasia Month activities for the community. They organize thickened liquid challenges. Most importantly, they educate others on their work. Activities are interesting and always have a purpose.
Modern facilities: The Professional Studies Building, which opened in 2011, features our state-of-the-art Centre for Speech, Language and Hearing Disorders. Under the supervision of ASHA-certified and New York State licensed speech-language pathologists, graduate students work with people of all ages to provide articulation, voice, language, swallowing and fluency treatment as well as accent reduction.
Engaged faculty: Our professors aren’t just people who teach classes and grade assignments; they’re certified speech-language pathologists and audiologists, collaborators on research, presenters of peer-reviewed presentations and supportive colleagues after graduation.

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Applicants who apply for graduate school before obtaining their undergraduate degrees may be accepted into a program but will need to provide evidence of conferral of bachelor's degree which must be received prior to the first day of classes. English Language Requirements: TOEFL, 79; IELTS, Band 6.5; EIKEN, Pre-1.
