Develop the skills and background required for positions in a variety of health professions and for admission into advanced degree programs. Choose from a number of concentrations to help you meet specific career goals. Our well-developed internship program and independent study options have lead graduates to work in a wide range of health and educational settings.
Prepare for post-graduate programs in areas such as medicine, dentistry, physical or occupational therapy and chiropractic medicine by combining health education with the concentration in allied health.

Community Health: Concentration in Allied Health [CHEA_ALLH]
This concentration in the Health Department is designed to provide background needed to pursue post-baccalaureate study in various allied health fields. In conjunction with the Community Health major, it provides students with the prerequisite course work needed for programs in such areas as nursing, physical therapy and occupational therapy. The combination of the concentration and the major gives students course work needed for advanced study and the preparation required for a wide variety of community/public health positions.

Preparation for freshman candidates should include the following: English: 4 units, Social Studies: 4 units, Mathematics: 3-4 units, Science: 3-4 units, Foreign Language: 3-4 units. English Language Requirements: TOEFL - 79; IELTS - Band 6.5; EIKEN, Pre-1.
