Concentration
Environmental Chemistry
Environmental chemistry focuses on the presence and impact of chemicals in soil, surface water, and groundwater and how these effect the ecosystems, animals and human health. This specialization prepares you for a career as an Environmental Chemist.
Forensics Concentration
This specialization in forensic chemistry will equip you for a career of laboratory work related to criminal justice. A forensic chemist focuses on analysis of materials from crime scenes.
Nanotechnology Concentration
Nanoscience is the study of nanoscale materials. These materials have proven and proposed uses across medical, environmental, industrial, energy, and many other fields.
Pre-medicine Concentration
This concentration allows you to prepare for professional schools in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, chiropractic, optometry, and veterinary fields.
Secondary Education or Secondary Education/Special Education Concentration
This concentration combines chemistry and general education coursework to prepare you for teaching positions at the secondary education level in the state of Pennsylvania.
