Secondary Education (Grades 7-12) - Students receive subject-specific B.S. or B.A. degrees with a concentration in Secondary education. A Special Education concentration (Grades PreK -12) is an optional program add-on.
B.S. Biology/Secondary Education Concentration
B.S. Biology/Secondary Education Concentration/Special Education
The Biology, B.S., Secondary Education Concentration provides students with an in-depth, well-rounded biology education that will allow them to master the content needed to teach science in secondary education. Furthermore, students will take a full slate of education courses, and work in tandem with an advisor in the education department, to develop the teaching skills needed to communicate these concepts effectively. Students in this program complete their undergraduate coursework in seven semesters, and then spend their final semester doing student teaching for an area school. The B.S., Secondary Education/Special Education Concentration option prepares candidates for PA grades Pre-K - 12 Special Education certification.

Applicants who have not completed four years of high school must submit a High School Equivalent Diploma (GED) issued by their state department of education. English Language scores: IELTS: 6.5, iTEP: 4.0+, TOEFL IBT: 80, TOEFL PBT: 550.
