Biochemists study the chemical processes that occur in living cells as well as the structure and function of proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids. Biochemistry gives a solid background in the fundamental principles of chemistry and biology. Students learn cutting edge science and how to apply their knowledge to solve problems through critical thinking. Students graduate ready to enter the workforce or to pursue further study in graduate or professional school.

Pre-Medicine concentration: Biochemists study the chemical processes that occur in living cells as well as the structure and function of proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids. Biochemistry gives a solid background in the fundamental principles of chemistry and biology. Students learn cutting edge science and how to apply their knowledge to solve problems through critical thinking. The Biochemistry Pre-Medicine concentration gives a strong foundation for further studies in medical or professional schools. Shadowing medical professionals is greatly encouraged.

Applicants who have not completed four years of high school must submit a High School Equivalent Diploma (GED) issued by their state department of education. English Language scores: IELTS: 6.5, iTEP: 4.0+, TOEFL IBT: 80, TOEFL PBT: 550.
