Students in this program benefit from a network of agencies and schools that provide valuable professional experience through practicums and internships. Graduates are qualified for employment in a variety of settings, including community mental health agencies, residential treatment facilities, elementary and secondary schools, and hospitals.
DESCRIPTION
SRU's Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is a 60 credit-hour program, accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)*, that leads to eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC). Students choosing the School and Youth Counseling concentration can also meet the requirements for Pennsylvania School Counselor certification.

The Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Slippery Rock University is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). The accreditation cycle runs through March of 2017. (Note: The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program is currently accredited under the 2001 Standards for Community Counseling Programs as a Community Counseling program. The 2009 Standards combine the Standards for Community Counseling Programs and Standards for Mental Health Counseling Programs into Standards for Clinical Mental Health Counseling Programs. The counseling program is currently seeking accreditation for this program when it comes up for re-accreditation, per CACRAP guidelines.)

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) A graduate applicant has completed the equivalent of a U.S. Baccalaureate (bachelor) degree and wishes to pursue a Master degree program. English language requirements: Applicants must score a minimum of 79 on the internet based test (IBT); Applicants must receive an overall IELTS score of a 6.5 or higher. ELS Schools official score report with a 112 result or higher.
