The SRU Public Health major is an excellent choice if you're preparing for graduate study and a career as a physical therapist.
WHY CHOOSE PUBLIC HEALTH: PRE-PHYSICAL THERAPY?
The Public Health program educates the whole person and prepares you to work as a professional in the public health field. Our curriculum emphasizes healthy lifestyles, multicultural health needs, research and advances in health, and use of the latest computer-related technology.
WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS?
Public Health Pre-Physical Therapy SRU 3+3: Earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy in six years rather than seven. In the first three years, you complete your public health major courses and pre-requisites for the SRU DPT program. During your third undergraduate year, you apply for admission into the SRU DPT program. If accepted, your first year in the SRU DPT program meets the remaining requirements for your undergraduate degree. If not accepted, you continue to complete your undergraduate degree and can reapply to the program. The accelerated option is for incoming freshmen only.
Public Health Pre-Physical Therapy (SRU Traditional): Complete the requirements for your public health major and the pre-requisites for the SRU DPT program and apply to the SRU DPT program in your senior year.

Upon completion of the Public Health undergraduate program and the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program you will be well prepared to embark on your career as a Physical Therapist, a growing profession with increasing demand.

為來自中國的學生設計 International applicants who have not enrolled in any post secondary institution since graduating high school should apply as freshmen. Advanced standing may be considered for those students who have completed IB programs, GCE A-levels (advanced or advanced subsidiary) examinations. English language requirements: Applicants must score a minimum of 61 on the internet based test (iBT), a minimum of 500 on the written test or a minimum of a 173 on the computer based test. Applicants must receive an overall IELTS score at band 6.0 or above.
