Public Health is the science and art of preventing disease, prolonging life, and promoting health through organized efforts. SRU's Public Health program emphasizes healthy lifestyles, multicultural health needs, research and advances in health, service learning, and use of the latest health-related computer technology. In this program, you'll learn how to combine science, skills, and beliefs to maintain and improve the health of people in our society.

The dynamic and progressive Public Health program at SRU gives you the knowledge and skills to meet the growing demand for competent health professionals. CAREERS IN PUBLIC HEALTH
As a graduate of SRU's Public Health program, you'll be prepared to deliver health programs that target specific population groups-such as programs aimed at improving the quality of life for older adults, or maternal programs designed to reduce the risk of low birth weight. Our graduates go on to careers in health statistics where they compile data and monitor trends, substance abuse and risk management, and as health coaches for insurance companies.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 International applicants who have not enrolled in any post secondary institution since graduating high school should apply as freshmen. Advanced standing may be considered for those students who have completed IB programs, GCE A-levels (advanced or advanced subsidiary) examinations. English language requirements: Applicants must score a minimum of 61 on the internet based test (iBT), a minimum of 500 on the written test or a minimum of a 173 on the computer based test. Applicants must receive an overall IELTS score at band 6.0 or above.
