The SRU Health Care Administration and Management major is an excellent choice if you're preparing for graduate study and career as a physical therapist.
WHY CHOOSE HCAM FOR PRE-PT?
The SRU Health Care Administration and Management program will provide you with both the science-based prerequisites necessary to enter the Physical Therapy program AND an understanding of how the healthcare industry functions. This combination will significantly differentiate you from others with future employers as uniquely prepared for your chosen career path. As an HCAM student at SRU, you'll become skilled in understanding not only the science and anatomical underpinnings required to pursue your degree in physical therapy, but will also learn how to become a leader in the field.
WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS?
HCAM Pre-Physical Therapy SRU 3+3: Earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy in six years rather than seven. In the first three years, you complete your Health Care Administration and Management (HCAM) major courses and pre-requisites for the SRU DPT program. During your third undergraduate year, you apply for admission into the SRU DPT program. If accepted, your first year in the SRU DPT program meets the remaining requirements for your undergraduate degree. If not accepted, you continue to complete your undergraduate degree and can reapply to the program. The accelerated option is for incoming freshmen only. HCAM Pre-Physical Therapy (SRU Traditional): Complete the requirements for your HCAM major and the pre-requisites for the SRU DPT program and apply to the SRU DPT program in your senior year.

Upon completion of the Health Care Administration and Management undergraduate program and the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program you will be well prepared to embark on your career as a Physical Therapist, a growing profession with increasing demand.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 International applicants who have not enrolled in any post secondary institution since graduating high school should apply as freshmen. Advanced standing may be considered for those students who have completed IB programs, GCE A-levels (advanced or advanced subsidiary) examinations. English language requirements: Applicants must score a minimum of 61 on the internet based test (iBT), a minimum of 500 on the written test or a minimum of a 173 on the computer based test. Applicants must receive an overall IELTS score at band 6.0 or above.
